WARD AND PARTICULAR AREAS VITAL STATISTICS.
In the following tables are given the statistics relating to the
Ward Divisions of the district.
As I have previously pointed out, the Ward which is a Division
for electoral purposes does not constitute a suitable unit as a statistical
area.
For this reason I have given on pages 59-63 the vital statistics o
areas with grouped populations, arranged according to density of
population upon area, and on page 57, similar statistics arranged
according to such a crude classification of social status as is represented
in differences of rental value of the houses occupied.
