the number up to 154 beds, or just the number,
having regard to the population of Willesden,
suggested by the Local Government Board.
I draw the attention of the Council to this
matter with the object of their recognising the
possibility that may shortly arise of making further
extensions to this hospital either of a permanent or
temporary nature.
It is generally acceded that if extensions are to
be made to a hospital, they can be much more
efficiently and less expensively built during nonepidemic
periods than when undertaken during the
stress and hurry of an outbreak.
Table No. 1 shows the number of patients
admitted and treated during the year.
