£8 13s. 6½d., or at the rate of 3s. 5½d. per day. In
1905, the cost per diem was 5s. 3¾d.
Finally, I tender my thanks to the principal
officers, and to all the members of the staff for their
loyal assistance throughout a year of exceptionally
hard work.
