I have to thank Mr. Robson for kindly supplying
me with the following information concerning the
underlying Strata, as discovered by a boring at the
Metropolitan Railway works, Neasden.

UNDERGROUND BAKEHOUSES.
A preliminary inspection of the underground
bakehouses in the District, numbering 27, has been
made and with few exceptions considerable alterations
will be necessary in order to render the bakehouses
suitable, from a sanitary point of view, for their
purpose.
The table at the end of the report shows the chief
facts concerning the existing bakehouses as regards
construction, light, ventilation, and other respects.
