Only one case of confluent Small Pox occurred
under the age of 25 among the vaccinated, and that
in a young man of 20, who presented only one vaccination
mark.
It only remains to add that out of 48 persons
not suffering from Small Pox admitted to the Hospital
wards, doctors, nurses, attendants, etc., all but three
had undergone recent successful vaccination. Of the
three who were unvaccinated, one died from Syphilis
a few days after admission. The other two both contracted
Small Pox.
None of the 45 vaccinated took the disease,
although many of them, as for instance the nurses,
were more directly exposed to infection than any
other persons in the community.
