The efficiency of vaccination in protecting against
Small Pox was admirably illustrated by the cases
admitted to the Hospital. Efficient vaccination recently
performed is the most certain preventive against attack
by Small Pox. The vaccination returns show that
the number of unvaccinated children in Willesden is
very much smaller than the number who have undergone
vaccination, yet of the relatively small number
of unvaccinated children under 5 no fewer than 12
were attacked by Small Pox, while of the much larger
number who were vaccinated not one became infected.
