(4) Hospitals in the District provided by or subsidised by the Local Authority or
by the County Council—
Tuberculosis, none.
Maternity, none.
Children, none.
Fever, none, omallpox, none. (Hospital of the Joint Board available
situated in Uxbridge Rural District).
Other, none. (Hillingdon and Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, situated in
Uxbridge Rural District, is supported by Voluntary contributions.
Accommodation 15 beds, available to residents of this as well as
several other districts in the neighbourhood).
(5) Institutional Provision for Unmarried Mothers, Illegitimate Infants and
Homeless Children—None.
6, Ambulance Facilities—
(a) For Infectious cases, that of the Joint Hospital Board, on application.
(b) For Non-Infectious and Accident cases, that of the Urban District
Council, which has been used during 1921 for 138 patients, conveyed
distances totalling 2,558 miles.
6. LABORATORY WORK.
Pathological and Bacteriological Examinations are made, as required, by the
Clinical Research Association, London. During the year 68 such examinations
have been made at the expense of the Urban District Council.
