The contract for the Hillingdon scheme was entered into at the end of the
year.
The Ickenham houses were started in August, and good progress was made
up to a certain point.
At Northolt building started also about August, but none were finished by
the end of the year.
At Cowley and West Drayton the scheme was delayed.
There certainly is plenty of overcrowding in the district, and also plenty of
houses practically beyond repair.
Your Inspector's (Mr.Freeman's) report is given overleaf in table form, in which
all details of inspection from a sanitary point of view, and of food can be seen.
Mr. Freeman has carried out his duties in a tactful and very efficient manner.
W. TOWNSEND DOBSON, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P.,
Medical Officer of Health.
