Thirteen outworkers reside in the district. Three premises were visited and
home conditions were found to be entirely satisfactory. The names and addresses
of the other outworkers are notified to the district councils in which they live.
One new certificate and four amended certificates as to adequate means of
escape in case of fire were issued under section 34 of the Act during the year, in
some cases, after necessary works were carried out.

Escape from Fire - Certain High Buildings.
In two instances, a residential school and a nursing home, informal action was
taken to secure improved means of escape from fire. This is carried out in cooperation
with the County Fire Prevention Officer. In the case of the nursing
home, the matter arose in connection with the re-registration of the premises, by
the County Council, following a change of ownership.

Provision is made in this Act for the conduct and regulation of:-
(1) Tents, Caravans and Sheds;
