42 lbs. of Herrings were surrendered; they were found to
be unfit for human consumption and accordingly condemned.
An outbreak of Swine Fever occurred in a herd of Swine,
in which two pigs died and were destroyed according to the
Regulations. On the advice of the Ministry of Agriculture, the
apparently healthy pigs were slaughtered. I was therefore requested
to inspect the carcases of 11 pigs so slaughtered. These were
found not to have contracted the disease, and were accordingly
passed as fit for food.
