Smoke-Prevention.
During the year 4 observations of smoke shafts were made. There were
no prosecutions.
Regulated Trades.
Offensive Trades.-— There are two licensed premises for such trades in St.
Pancras, viz., a tripe-dresser's in Kentish Town Road, and a tallow-melter's
in Tudor Place. 46 visits were paid to these premises, a number of these
being special night observations of the tallow-melting premises, made in
consequence ot a complaint made to the Council under Sec. 21 of the J ublic
Health (London) Act, 1891. No legal proceedings were taken during the
year.

The construction of, and repairs to, house drains are supervised by the
sanitary inspectors.
