ISOLATION HOSPITAL.
The number of patients treated in hospital during 1935 was
616, as against 622 during 1934. (This number comprises the
patients admitted during the year, together with those in hospital
on 1st January, 1935.) As will be seen, the number shows a slight
drop, although actually the h umber of patient days was increased,
owing to the abnormal number of diphtheria cases treated during
the year. As in previous years, the bulk of the patients were
admitted from Tottenham.

The following table sets out the number of patients admitted to the hospital during 1935, and the areas from which those patients were admitted.

As this may be the last year in which the hospital is operated
on its present basis, the following figures might be of interest as
showing the increased use of the hospital which has taken place
within the last 10 years:—
1925.—103 cases admitted (average number in hospital on any
one day, 8.7; highest, 16; lowest, 2).
1929.—254 cases admitted (average number in hospital on any
one day, 20.5; highest, 40; lowest, 1).
