The services of an additional Health Visitor, foreshadowed in
the Report for 1934, have now been obtained, the time of this
official being already fully occupied.
Owing to the resignation of the clerk to the Maternity and
Child Welfare Department and the appointment of a part-time
assistant in her place, the great bulk of the clerical work in
connection with Maternity and Child Welfare is now being carried
out in the Public Health Department. As this work is materially
increasing, it is quite possible that additional assistance may
become necessary within the near future.

the work carried out under these Acts during the past year:—
