SANITARY INSPECTOR'S REPORT, 1925.
Madam and Gentlemen,
I have the honour of submitting my Annual Report on the
work of the Department for the year 1925.
General.
The number of visits paid, 629, are analysed as follows:—
402 to dwellinghouses. ,
63 to butcher shops anil slaughterhouses.
11 to bakehouses.
35 to dairies, cowsheds and milkshops.
64 to factories and workshops.
54 to special premises—piggeries, stables, etc.
100 to cases of infectious disease.
Total 629
To secure the abatement of nuisances it was found
necessary to serve 104 Informal Notices and 10 Statutory
Notices.
Two hundred and sixteen premises were visited, of which
134 were dwelling houses, 35 factories and workshops, and 27
special premises (slaughterhouses, stables, etc.).
Complaints.
There were 45 complaints received and investigated, which were as follows:—
