Births and stillbirths are required to be registered
within 42 days by the father or mother personally, and
deaths within five days by the nearest relative.
The registration of marriages can only be effected at
the office of the Superintendent Registrar at 7, Lyon
Road, Harrow. Telephone: Harrow 6135.

Urgent Night Calls
If an Authorised Officer is urgently required to deal
with a case at night-time, the nearest Ambulance Station
should be contacted (by dialling 999 or '0' and asking for
'Ambulance'), and asked to send an Ambulance for the
Authorised Officer on call The Ambulance Service will
know which Authorised Officer will be on call for the night.
