Annual Report
OF
The Inspector of Nuisances
For the Year, 1908.
February, 1909.
To Dr. L. W. Hignett, Medical Officer of Health for the Urban
District of Ruislip-Northwood.
Sir,
I beg to submit my fourth Annual Report, being for the
year ending, 31st December, 1908.
The annexed tables give particulars of the work which
has been carried out during the year and it is in my opinion
satisfactory, the number of nuisances has decreased, and these
have been abated without the necessity of serving any
statutory notices.
During the year I have visited most of the houses from
which dust is removed.
The scavenging, drainage and other necessary work is
still being strictly attended to and a systematic inspection of
the District has been carried out. The manhole inverts and
benchings in the Northwood District are being repaired thus
allowing the sewage to flow more freely, and preventing the
foul gases arising from excreta lying on the sides of the
benching.
