DIPHTHERIA,
For the 17th year in succession no cases of diphtheria occurred in
the district.

No cases were notified.

FOOD POISONING
Only throe cases of food poisoning (Salmonella typhimurium) were
notified.
SCARLET FEVER
There were 34 cases of scarlet fever notified as against 15 in 1963,
and four were removed to hospital.
The disease generally was of a mild type and there were no return
cases. No deaths were recorded.
SONNE DYSENTERY
There were 7 cases of Sonne Dysentery notified during the year.
MEASLES
A total of 73 cases was notified during 1964, compared with 592 in
the previous year. There were no deaths.
