Poliomyelitis
No cases were notified.
The following table gives the number of second and third injections given during the year ended 31st December, 1963:—

Food Poisoning
Only one case of food poisoning (Salmonella Brandenburg) was notified.
Scarlet Fever
There were 15 cases of scarlet fever notified as against 8 in 1962, and one
was removed to hospital.
The disease generally was of a mild type and there were no "return"
cases. No deaths were recorded.
Sonne Dysentery
There were 72 cases of Sonne Dysentery notified during the year.
Measles
A total of 592 cases was notified during 1963 compared with 31 in the
previous year. There were no deaths.
Whooping Cough
Cases were notified throughout the year and totalled 11 compared with
3 cases the previous year. There were no deaths.
