With regard to the work done in dealing with the
Infantile Mortality, in addition to my acknowledgment
of the Health Visitor's efforts, I should like to express
my best thanks to the District Nurses, who have done
valuable work in this respect.

During the year 13 deaths have been referred to the
following Zymotic diseases :—
Measles 0
Diphtheria and Membranous Croup 2
Scarlet Fever 4
Influenza 5
Whooping Cough 1
Enteric Fever 1
Small Pox ???0

This gives a Zymotic Death Rate of .53 per 1,000, but
if the five cases of influenza are omitted, it only amounts
to .32 per 1,000.
