Samples of petroleum were purchased from shops
in different parts of the district, and tested as to the
flash-point, i.e., the temperature at which the spirit or
oil gives off inflammable vapour. All the samples were
above the minimum (73 degrees Fahrenheit) prescribed
by the statute.
