SCARLET FEVER
Fifteen cases wore notified during the year, one being admitted to
hospital and the remainder being home-nursed.
No deaths from this disease were recorded and there were no "return"
cases.
SMALLPOX AND VACCINATION
No cases of smallpox occured in the area, but it was necessary to
keep nine contacts under surveillance for the requisite period.
Eight hundred and twenty International Certificates of Vaccination
were brought into the Public Health Department for the doctors' signatures
to be authenticated during 1964.
The County Medical Officer informs ma that 838 children in the area
received primary vaccination and 24 (school age but under 8 years)
re-vaccination during 1964.
