PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER INFECTIOUS AND
OTHER DISEASES
General.
Five hundred and ninety four notifications of infectious diseases
were received during the year, compared with 1,423 during 1963.
The difference in the figures for these two years is mainly accounted
for by the decrease in the number of cases of measles, there being 1,283
notifications of this disease in 1963 and 427 in the year under review.
Biggin Hill Civil Airport
The Health Control Unit was maintained as usual throughout the year
but no use was made of it.
Acute Anterior Poliomyelitis and Vaccination
There were no cases of poliomyelitis notified in 1964.

The County Medical Officer has kindly supplied the following information with regard to poliomyelitis vaccination for 1964 based on the Return submitted to the Ministry of Health.
