PUBLIC CONVENIENCES
The Local Authority eight public conveniences are situated in Orpington
Town (3), Petts Wood (1), St. Mary Cray (1), Green Street Green (l), Farnborough (l)
and Biggin Hill (1)
Wilful damage and misuse continues to be a problem but the system of
inspection and cleansing undertaken during the hours of opening by a mobile cleaner
appears to be working well as only one complaint was received during the year.
The opening and initial cleaning in the morning and closing at night is
undertaken by ten part-time employees.
Maintenance and repair work is carried out by the Housing and Estates Department
