DISEASES OF ANIMALS (WASTE FOODS) ORDER, 1957
The object of this Order is to prevent the spread of Foot and Mouth
and other diseases of animals. The Order provides, inter alia, that
where persons collect waste foods for feeding to animals or poultry,
the foods must first be boiled for one hour in a plant licensed by
the Local Authority.
One further Boiling Plant was licensed during 1964, making a
total of 56 licences issued since this Order came into force.
DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE
The trunk soil sewerage system is under the control of the West
Kent Main Sewerage Board. Branch main soil sewers and main surface
water sewers have been provided during the year by the local authority
as under:-

FACTORIES ACT, 1961
There are 147 factories on the Council's register at the present time.
Thirty-one visits of inspection were made by the Public Health Inspectors
and the tiro defects found were remedied.
