PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES.
General.
One thousand four hundred and twenty-three notifications of
infectious diseases were received during the year, compared with 420
during 1962.
The difference in the figures for these two years is mainly
accounted for by the increase in the number of cases of measles,
there being 253 notifications of this disease in 1962 and 1,283 in the
year under review.
Biggin Hill Civil Airport.
The Health Control unit was maintained as usual throughout the
year, but no use was made of it. On one occasion only was it
necessary for three travellers arriving at the airport to present valid
international certificates of vaccination.
