Food Premises.
There are some 460 food premises in the area, as under: —

Unsound Food.
During the year, a total of 3 tons, 18 cwts. of varied articles of
food were condemned, and 764 Food Condemnation certificates issued.
There was no consignment of food especially examined during
the year.
Milk and Dairies Regulations.
Thirteen dairies have been registered under the above Regulations.

Fifty-six visits were made to the Dairies in the district.
Meat Inspection.
Four hundred and seventeen visits were made by the Sanitary
Inspectors to the six registered slaughterhouses.
Licences were issued to eighteen slaughtermen under the Slaughter
of Animals Act, 1933.
Total weight of meat condemned was approximately eighteen cwts.
