FACTORIES, OUTWORKERS, SMOKE ABATEMENT,
SHOPS ACT, RODENT CONTROL AND VERMINOUS
CONDITIONS AND UNCLEANLINESS.
Factories Acts, 1937 and 1948.
One hundred and fifteen visits were made to the one hundred
and twenty-six factories on the Council's register. Compliance with
the various health and welfare regulations was found, on the whole,
to be good. Eleven defects or contraventions were detected and these
were of a minor character only.
Details of inspections made and defects found are given below:—
