X-Rays.
Arrangements were made for three children to be X-rayed.
Admission to Hospital.
No children under 5 years of age were admitted to hospital.
Special Eye Clinic.
The Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon had referred by the
Clinic Medical Officers 64 pre-school children, who made 84
attendances for examination and treatment.
The following conditions were found:—
Hypermetropia with squint 22
Squint only 5
Epicanthus 19
Ptosis 1
Convalescent Home Treatment.
Children.
Twenty-three children recommended by the Clinic Medical
Officers were sent to Convalescent Homes.
Nursing and Expectant Mothers.
Arrangements were made for one mother and her baby to have
a period of convalescence following confinement, and for one
expectant mother prior to her confinement.
