ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC.
ARTIFICIAL SUNLIGHT CLINIC.
All the records relating to the Othopaedic Clinic and the
Artificial Sunlight Clinic were destroyed by enemy action.
AURAL CLINIC.
This work, which was suspended at the outbreak of war, was
begun again in December, 1939.
It is with great regret that I have to report the sudden death,
in August, 1940, of Mr. C. R. Sandiford, F.R.C.S., who has filled the
appointment of Aural Consultant (part-time) since the initiation of
the Council's Special Aural Clinic in July, 1938. Mr. Sandiford
was an expert surgeon, a sound clinician, and a specialist who
commanded the respect and confidence of both patients and staff.
His death was a severe loss to the department.
Mr. Sandiford's successor, Mr. W. H. B. Magauran, F.R.C.S.,
took over the duties of Aural Consultant in November, 1940.
The following list shows the relevant particulars regarding
the Leyton school children who attended the Aural Clinic for
treatment during 1940.
