4. The children born of drunken parents are frequently
feeble from birth and inherit direct tendency to many forms of
physical and mental disease.
5. Too frequently the home of the confirmed drunkard may
be recognised by its dirt and squalor, his family are neglected
his children ill-fed and untaught, whilst his own life, drifting from
bad to worse, not seldom ends in a premature grave.
6. Drunkenness is a most terrible enemy to personal health,,
to family happiness, and to national prosperity.
