While writing this report I have before me many instances which I have noted of delayed notification of Measles which illustrate the unreliability of the system at present in vogue :—

Where so much delay is occasioned in notification the
opportunity of prompt and effective preventive measures is lost.
There is great need for some alteration in the system now
followed, either by the Attendance Officers making daily reports
to the Teachers or sending daily direct to the Medical Officer of
Health the names of children absent on account of infectious
