Attack Rates represent the number of cases occuring to
every 1,000 persons living at all ages. These rates are useful
for comparison with other Boroughs in regard to the incidence of
infectious diseases. (See Table '24).
The attack rate from all notifiable diseases (excluding
Puerperal Fever) during the year amounted to 6.08 per 1,000
of the population, compared with 5.88 in 1905, and 3.93 in
1904. This slight increase is due to increased attack rate from
Diphtheria as will be seen in Table 23. The attack rate for the
County of London was 7.42, compared with 7.01 in 1905.
The attack rates for the Wards will be found in Table
