Registration of Hawkers of Food
During the year only one new hawker was registered under Section 11 of the Middlesex County Council Act, 1950, bringing the total number in the register to 74.
These are classified as follows:-
Fruit and vegetables | 57 |
Groceries | 3 |
Fish | 7 |
Fried fish and chips | 1 |
Shellfish | 2 |
Ice cream | 2 |
Dairy Produce | 1 |
Bread and Confectionery | 1 74 |
The only matters which had to be dealt with related to failure to have the

Several of the registered hawkers have not been seen in the Borough for some
years and it is proposed to thoroughly review the register during 1951.
19 inspections of hawkers' storage premises were made when no matters of any
significance were found which required attention.
