SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA.
HOUSING:
The acute shortage of housing continues to present the
most serious public health problem of the present time. To
meet the situation every endeavour is being made to maintain
existing property in as habitable condition as possible and to
press forward with a building programme for the erection
of new houses. In this connection I am indebted to the
Housing Officer for the following observations and statistics
relevant to the housing situation in the Borough during
the year under review:—
