11 gave a positive result. The percentage of failure was
therefore 4.62 per cent., as compared with the 3.03 per cent.
found in the case of Evans, Sons, Lescher & Webb product.
In series of cases of only a little over two hundred, the results
are virtually comparable. Both methods are quite satisfactory
and probably cannot be bettered. It was shown last year that
the Mulford product, given as the single injection recommended
by the manufacturers, produced a total failure on re-Schick test
amounting to 31.2 per cent. The method was condemned out
of hand, the makers communicated with, through their agents,
and the single injection procedure has not been resumed. As
has been shown above, the same product given as two injections
is perfectly satisfactory."
