(iv) No bacteriological examinations of graded or other milk have been
made during the year.
(b) MEAT.—
(i) Meat inspection is carried out by the Sanitary Inspector, who holds the
Special Diploma of the Royal Sanitary Institute for the work. He makes frequent
visits to the slaughter-houses and has examined the carcases and organs of the
majority of the animals slaughtered therein during the year.
No system of marking inspected carcases has been adopted.

The following is a list of the carcases and organs of diseased animals surrendered by the owners during the periodical visits to the slaughter-houses :

(ii) Speaking generally, the Butchers have shown themselves willing to
carry out the requirements of the Public Health (Meat) Regulations, 1924, and it
has not been found necessary to institute any legal proceedings to enforce
compliance therewith.

(iii) There is no public slaughter-house in the district; the number of private slaughter-houses are as follows:—
