CARE OF THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
During 1965, as mentioned in my report for that year a
greater awarenesr of the Community Care facilities available in
the Borough, resulted in an increase in the number of physically
handicapped persons being brought to the attention of the Department.
The following table illustrates that this increase continued,
the number of persons on the register at 31st December, 1966,
showing an increase of over 35% during the year
