The sums recovered from parents in respect of dental and medical treatment are as follows:—

Contributions for dental treatment are collected at the
Dental Clinic when the child attends for treatment. The
charge is 1/- for each child treated.
At the Minor Ailments Clinic an endeavour is made to
collect 3d. a week for each child attending, but treatment
is never withheld on account of inability to pay.
Contributions for the operative treatment of tonsils and
adenoids are collected by the School Nurses.
Infectious Diseases.
In 1933 fewer cases of infectious disease occurred
among the elementary school children than in any year since
records have been kept.
The following list gives the number of cases which were brought to the notice of the School Medical Officer for the past three years.
