The Public Mortuary.
Twenty-seven bodies were deposited during the year in the
Public Mortuary in Summers Lane, as against nineteen in the
preceding year; seventeen of these had been parishioners of
Finchley, six of Friern Barnet, one of High Barnet, one of
Newcastle-on-Tyne, and in the case of two infants found dead
the home was unknown.
