A (3) Unemployment Figures and Comments
With the co-operation of the Manager of Erith Employment
Exchange, to whom I am indebted for the necessary
information, it is once again possible to give definite figures
with regard to the state of unemployment in the district, as
shown in the following table.

Unemployment in Erith for the first six months of 1951
continued to decrease. Towards the Autumn the register
rose slightly and gradually until the end of the year,
The total number of unemployed in December, 1951,
however, still did not reach the corresponding figure for
December, 1950, and a satisfactory position was maintained.
