A (4) i. Infant Mortality
14 infants died before reaching one year of age giving
an infant mortality rate of 20 per 1,000 live births.
The comparable figure for the whole of the country is
29.8.
Of the 14 children who died, 8 died before reaching the
age of one month, giving a neo-natal mortality rate of 11.41
per 1,000 live births. 9 died in hospital and the remaining 5
in their own homes.
Coroner's Postmortem examinations, without inquests,
were carried out in three cases.
