A (3) Unemployment Figures and Comments
With the co-operation of the Manager of Erith Employment
Exchange, to whom I am indebted for the necessary
information, it is once again possible to give definite figures
with regard to the state of unemployment in the district, as
shown in the following table.

The unemployment figures for Erith and District remained
at a low level throughout 1950, and towards the end of the year
even shewed a slight reduction. This satisfactory position was
due to the continued maintenance of a high level of employment
in the area.
