INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
A. Scarlet Fever.
During the year forty-five school children were notified
as suffering from Scarlet Fever. Apart from the first quarter
of the year all these were generally distributed throughout
the remaining nine months. No school, therefore, had to be
closed for this or any other infectious disease throughout the
year. Twenty-three of these school children were admitted to
the Borough Isolation Hospital, and of this number four
children had complications. These were as follows : —
