they are working. Accordingly a weekly pre-natal evening
session has been established at the Hainault Maternity Home,
and reporting after a full years work at this centre it can
certainly be described as a very useful clinic and to have fully
justified itself.
It serves the whole borough, and all the Welfare Centres
can therefore send their expectant mothers to attend while they
are working and unable to come to the ordinary day-time
sessions.
It is run by a Medical Officer and the staff of the Borough
Maternity Home, and a further advantage is that appointments
can be made when necessary (and it is sometimes very
necessary) to see the patients' husbands.

Later in the year a third ante-natal clinic was opened in the Picardy area, and the attendances here are most promising.
