Meat and Other Foods
Although there are 8 slaughterhouses in the district, none are
now in use for slaughtering purposes, and therefore no examinations
or inspections of animals or carcases were carried out during
the year.

SECTION 279
The provisions of the above require all Hawkers of Meat, Fish,
Fruit and Vegetables and Storage Premises used in connection
therewith to be registered by the Council; during the year only
one Hawker was registered.

The following table shows the number of Hawkers' Premises, etc., registered and the number of inspections made by the Sanitary Inspectors during the year in connection therewith.

PUBLIC MORTUARY
There is now no public mortuary in Enfield, but use is made
at present of a Hospital Mortuary.
