INTERVIEWS
A considerable amount of the time of the staff of the Health
Department is taken up in interviewing members of the public
who call at the offices for advice on matters concerning health
and complaints as to the condition of their houses.
During the course of the year 538 such interviews were afforded
members of the public.

FACTORIES ACT, 1937
A register is kept of all the factories in the District, and during
the year 142 inspections were carried out.
