As will be seen from the tabulated statement above, frequent inspections of ice-cream premises were made during the year. During these visits 111 samples of ice-cream were taken and the reports on these samples are summarised as follows:—

Meat and Other Foods
Although there are 8 slaughterhouses in the district, none are
now in use for slaughtering purposes, and therefore no examinations
or inspections of animals or carcases were carried out during
the year.

The provisions of the above require all Hawkers of Meat, Fish,
Fruit and Vegetables and Storage Premises used in connection
therewith to be registered by the Council; during the year 22
Hawkers were registered.
