DIPHTHERIA
No cases of Diphtheria occurred in the District during the
year.
This is the first occasion that it has been possible to record
the fact that the District has been free from Diphtheria for a
whole year.
DIPHTHERIA IMMUNISATION
1,585 children were immunised for the first time and 1,783
received subsequent reinforcing doses during the year.
The number of parents accepting this service for their children
is not yet sufficiently high to warrant any sense of security.
WHOOPING COUGH IMMUNISATION
847 children were immunised against Whooping Cough during
the year.
