The number of house-to-house inspections made was :—
Under Housing Regulations, 1925 and 1932 Nil.
THE MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS) ORDERS, 1936 and 1938.
There are 22 Purveyors of Milk who sell or distribute Pasteurised
Milk in the district. Samples of milk have been taken and tested.
SLAUGHTER-HOUSES.
There are eight slaughter-houses in Enfield, none of which are
in use at present.
During the course of the year 8,439 carcases were examined,
and the surrender of 4 carcases and 166 parcels of diseased organs
were secured.
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES.
The number of cases of Scarlet Fever was 29, compared with
86 in 1940 :
of Diphtheria 27, as compared with 28 ;
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis 126, ascompared with 128 ; and
of Pneumonia 47, as compared with 55.
There was one death from Diphtheria during the year, as
compared with five deaths in 1940
There were no deaths from Scarlet Fever during the year, as
was also the case in 1940.
