Table IV. gives in detail the diseases dealt with at the Minor
Ailment Clinics.
Tonsils and Adenoids.—During the year 320 cases were seen
at the clinics and referred for treatment, and 174 cases were kept
under observation. Of these, 224 were operated on under the
Authority's scheme and 29 were operated on by private arrangement.

Tuberculosis.—Ten cases of suspected or definite tuberculosis
were seen at the clinic during the year. Two children were offered
sanatorium treatment and two accepted. One child who was
recommended in 1933 was still away in sanatoria in 1934. All
cases notified in previous years were kept under observation, and
some were given convalescent treatment.
Ringworm.—Eleven children were found to be suffering from
ringworm. Three were scalp lesions and seven were skin lesions,
and one was a skin and scalp lesion.

Impetigo.—During the year 12 cases were seen; 10 were
treated at the clinic.
